The outfielder played five games for both the Yankees and the Dodgers this year, making him eligible for both teams.
MLB franchises reward players who contributed to their championship runs, no matter how big or small their role.
Trammell began the year with the Seattle Mariners in spring training before being claimed off waivers by the Dodgers in April.
After five appearances he headed to the Yankees less than three weeks later.
He was then sent outright to their Minor League affiliate, the SWB RailRiders in May.
Speaking ahead of game one, the 27-year-old told The Athletic: “Because I’m with the Yankees now, I completely forgot.
“If the Dodgers win it, I can get a ring as well.”

“For me, this is so awesome because I can say I’m a World Series champion now.
“The next step is to be a World Series champion, and being there when it’s won. That’s the next goal.”
The 2024 World Series gets underway on Friday night with game on from Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
Either the Dodgers or the Yankees will lift the Commissioner’s Trophy come the end of the seven-game series, which will be contested over the next nine days.
