MLB icon Derek Jeter has finally secured a buyer for his stunning lakefront ‘castle’ which has been on the market for six years.

The New York Yankees legend first listed the property in Orange County, New York, for $14.75 million in 2018.

Jeter then tried to sell the house – which includes a replica of the Statue of Liberty – on the auction block in 2022, with a minimum asking price of $6.5 million.

But after recently putting the property on the market for a slimmed-down $6.3 million, the house is now pending sale, per Mansion Global.

It is unclear at this stage what the final sale price will be, or who the buyer is.

For Jeter, it has been a lengthy process to sell the property which he bought in the early 2000s.

The home in Greenwood Lake is less than 50 miles from Manhattan.

The almost 9,000-square-foot medieval-looking main home comes complete with an imposing tower and battlements.

It has six bedrooms and 12 bathrooms as well as a guest house.

There are also two kitchens, a sunroom, an office, a game room, a formal dining room, an office, and a family room with a bar.

There is also a baseball diamond-shaped infinity pool, a boat house and dock.

In total, the property boasts nearly 700 feet of shoreline.

Most notably, there is a replica Statue of Liberty in one of the many outdoor areas to explore.

It is called Tiedemann Castle in a nod to his grandfather’s adoptive parents.

The property was originally built by New York City doctor Rudolph Gudewill for his wife in 1903.

Jeter’s grandfather, William Connors, lived on the property after he was adopted by John and Julia Tiedemann, who bought the site in 1952.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Jeter spent his childhood summers at the castle.

The former Yankees shortstop took ownership of the property in the early 2000s from the Tiedemann family trust.

At the time, the main home had been partitioned into apartments and was in a state of disrepair.

Jeter then spent considerable time and money in redeveloping the palatial estate before deciding to sell it after he left the Yankees.

The baseball icon also has a home in South Florida where he spends a lot of time alongside wife Hannah and their three kids.

He previously had a $22.5 million property in Tampa, which he rented to Tom Brady when the NFL icon moved to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Yankees legend won five World Series titles and was a 14-time All Star during his stellar career.
