Following his retirement in 2003, the legendary pitcher crossed over to punditry covering the Yankees and currently works for Amazon Prime.

And the baseball great teamed up with Michael Kay as well as Paul O’Neill to cover Wednesday’s clash between two of his former teams in New York and the Royals at Yankee Stadium.

The hosts won 4-3, but it was their former player that made an impression in the Bronx.

During the sixth inning the five-time World Series champion suddenly jumped out of his seat in pain, which led to the punditry team’s usual banter.

O’Neill asked: “How’s that leg, Coney? You got a little cramp working there?

“Thought you were doing a dance move but then I saw a grimace on your face.”

That was when Cone confirmed he hurt his hamstring: “Yeah, I got a little hammy.

“Oh, man. I got a little hammy! Oh, man, right in the belly of my hamstring.”

Less than 20 seconds later, the broadcasters issued a replay showing him jumping out of his seat in pain.

But Cone laughed it off as he joked: “It’s just a clown show up here. I’m sorry folks.”

The Yankees have lost the likes of Gerrit Cole, Luis Gil and Giancarlo Stanton to injury this season.

And it seems like their injury crisis is so bad that it actually spread to the broadcast booth.
